Bonnie is quite a clever gal. I machine embroidered a red "flower like" thing in the center of the white blocks. I was very pleased at how it came out.
PKPaulinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18032916395238804901noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5259952795997957550.post-40344227581312407562010-09-12T15:38:09.787-05:002010-09-12T15:38:09.787-05:00I love this.....but I have to admit...I was one of...I love this.....but I have to admit...I was one of those folks trying to figure out about the blocks with the glazed over eyes.....so glad she commented on that!! Oh, and Bonnie Hunter ...Oh, I love, love, love it! Oh, and Bonnie Hunter just commented above me! Wow! OK, so back to my ooohhhing and aaahhhhing! That is SO beautiful! I'm working on something else as a leaders and enders, but when I'm done, I'm going to do a scrappy Irish Chain. I think that breaking something this big down into leaders and enders makes it more do-able than sitting and piecing forever. You've done a really beautiful job! Can't wait to see it quilted.

xo -E

What size are your squares?Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07980461113595763030noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5259952795997957550.post-50125914572784469902010-09-12T12:42:46.008-05:002010-09-12T12:42:46.008-05:00Like Like Like!! You know, when I show this quilt ...Like Like Like!! You know, when I show this quilt at my lectures and break it down into 4 patches and explain that they can make it with INDIVIDUAL 2" squares some people's eyes glaze over as if to say "why not just strip piece it and be done quickly?" Because you have to use SOMETHING for a leader/ender project....and I hate strip piece-y things where the same thing is always next to the same other thing, and the random scrappiness of your quilt just makes me so happy, Lane! YEAH!

Have a great second half of your weekend :c)Bonnie K.
