This is the quilt. We got it all laid out yesterday. Oddly, it only has one good top and bottom. When we stepped around, the colors got dull and muddy, but from this one angle, it looks fantastic! This picture has full resolution, so you should be able to double click it and get a better view. I started assembling blocks as soon as I got home.
The first block I put together was a nightmare and I had to pull the paper to get it to go together right, but I learned a lot and the next 6 went very smoothly. But, I had to stop to work on the apple quilt some. It's great to have several projects in the works. Keeps me wanting more from each one. Always leave 'em wanting more, huh?
This is the quilt after we got it all tagged for transport. It's hard to keep all the pieces straight as I assemble them. Every piece has to be labeled over and over to keep them straight, but if I forget one, I'm going to mess up one of those circles that we worked so hard to form yesterday.
Okay, hope you're having a great Sunday. It's turning into a beer making day for me. Gotta get that cmas beer going or something bad will happen like it did last year. See ya'. Lane

Wow... that truly IS amazing Lane! It's going to be beautiful when it's finished. I had a look at your apple quilt yesterday too, just didn't have time to post. The quilting is turning out well... but since you didn't say anything I assume you didn't take it to show your mentor.
That is so beautiful Lane. Wiush I could ever learn to do that. Thank you for sharing
This is just amazing. I love all the colors, and was thrilled we could click on the picture to get a better view....Oh, Lane, I know you are so proud, it is wonderful....I finished the top to my quilt I was working on as a gift today and jumped for joy at the way it looks...I am super excited to give this as a gift...but can't show it until December....
Wow! Gorgeous! a Stunner! You can rest on your laurels for the rest of your days, now that you know you have made a Masterpiece quilt in your lifetime. :-)
What can I say. Once again I am gobsmacked by this quilt!! I need to get a picture of the completed quilt and frame it to put in my quilt room.
Looks awesome! You did a beautiful job on this quilt.
WHAT??? That man quilts??? Well it sure looks to me like you do and do well. Great Quilt!!
I love that quilt and the colors are speaking Autumn to me. My favorite time of the year.
You are a fantastic quilter! Show? I cringe. I did have 4 quilts hung in a museum. They held their own with all the others. But my tastes are so different from my guild. They are very traditional...mostly hand piece. Something I have never tried. But I love hand quilting.
If I do not sew everyday I get depressed. SO sew away my man!
That is breathtaking, Lane! I love all those different fabrics - there is so much to look at.
Absolutely exquisite. I do not think I could tackle something that intricate. You did a fabulous job.
