Rob has me trying to think of a way that I can display all the vintage machines in my sewing room, but I'm not sure yet. That seems like an awful lot of wasted table space, but it would be nice to be able to look at them all at the same time and maybe to set each one up for a different purpose and leave it set up for that instead of having to change settings all the time. I certainly have enough machines to assign them each a task and leave them set up to do that one task.
And, my last thing is that Bonnie Hunter is coming to town first of May and I'm trying to get in one of her classes. I'm not a member of the guild so I have to wait until the last minute to register, but I hope to hear in the next couple of days whether I got in. It would be very exciting. But, I'm trying not to get too excited in case there's not a space.
Take care and have a great Tuesday. Today's bumpersticker; and oldie and a goldie: Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.

I like the oil can and love the bumper sticker. I am a sucker for old things in my house as well! Great find and great story. Lisa
Reading your past entries and this one about about your "new" old sewing machine, accessory tinand oil cans what lovely treasurers you find. One of the women from our guild collects old sewing machines, and uses some of them, others and sewing related antiques she used to display in a shelf which it was up high so that it did not get in her way while in that room.
Just an idea. By the way, my quilt is coming along nicely, thanks again.

I love the idea of displaying some of your vintage treasures. I just dont have the space here (and I dont have any vintage sewing treasures either!)
I think you just motivated me to drop Nanna's old sewing machine in for a service...
Patricia has a good idea: Shelves that are deep enough, and with enough support to disopaly the machiines on the wall?
Vintage machines in my sewing room would get covered in just-ironed fabric I'm too lazy to put away.
