Yesterday was a delightful day with LD. But, I generally leave LD feeling very full. Full of myself and full of life. Yesterday, I left wanting more, so gonna need to make some eastra phone calls and "reach outs" this week to help me feel full again.
I have to contact the quilt shop today to try to get on the schedule. I have to brag about them. Slowly, I've watched their inventory change and yesterday, I found a section of 30's reproductions as well as a collection of civil war repros and a huge selection of batiks (yeah for the jubilee quilt!) And, they are carrying cotton thread and I got a pair of Machingers gloves. Many of these are things I did not think they would ever carry, but now that they are focused more on quilting and less on sewing machine sales, things are changing quickly. Guess it just took some time for them to make their vision happen. And, the store was packed. That's always a good thing. More customers means more inventory means more sales.
Everybody take care. I have errands to run this morning. Yeah me. Oh, well. Can't waste the day off when there's stuff that needs to be done and there are no plans around the house to go and do anything. And, I can't just sit and visit for hours like they can. Gotta have something to do. Lucky there's so much finger work needs doing right now.

Yellow was the perfect choice for those Dresdens! Love it!

You hit the bullseye with the yellow background! I've started hand quilting the Dresden Plate my mom pieced and have set it aside now for almost a year. I'm gonna have to drag it out and get it finished here soon.
It's so great to see those Dresden plates properly restored and on their way to being the beautiful quilt that the original quilter-- and now you-- envisioned.
I love how these blocks are coming along!! I love vintage blocks anyway, but I love these on the yellow!
Wow, these blocks are really pretty. Isn't it nice to find the perfect color? Glad to hear things are going well in Texas!
I love my Machiners gloves, too! And now I need to get a 2nd pair, cuz my first ones are all purple colored on the finger tips. I've switched them to use the other side, but it still worries me when I'm on a very light colored quilt....will the color 'rub' off onto the lights? Hmmmm. So a second pair for lighter quilts is my solution!
I love the way you have rescued these blocks. You really turned them into something special.
