What a wonderful day. SCOTUS has made same gender marriage legal in all 50 states. Our county clerk is already issuing licenses.
And I find myself at a loss for what to do now. I've looked into how to get the license. I don't quite know how we get married after that.
Do we rush down and get the license before some obstructionist turd-head puts on a delay? Do we take our time and do it right?
i don't know what we'll do. But it's time to figure it out and that begins by talking about it.
Oh, and I guess I could pop the question, eh?
Wish us luck as we maneuver through whatever happens next.

I had tears in my eyes and a big grin on my face when I heard the news on the radio!
Incidentally, I asked him on the phone (lame, I know). And he said yes. He's off today and driving to the clerks office to see how long the line is. I can't stop crying. It rolls over me periodically in a wave. L

These are exciting times for the USA. Since you and your man have waited this long to get married, I wouldn't rush into it. However, do get round to it while it is still the law! Good luck to you all!
When I heard the news here in UK hubby wanted to know why I was cheering. Wish I could afford the flight I would dance at your wedding(whether invited or not (lol) So I will raise a glass of good Californian red and drink to you and Rob and not forgetting Sydney.

I agree with lw. Get married asap, and then have a party and say your vows. My niece married in MI during a short window before the turdheads interrupted, once it's official, it is golden!! So, so happy for you!
We're at the clerks office. Just 37 couples ahead of us now.
A festive atmosphere with as many children as adults. So sweet. We cheer for each couple called back. Soon it will be our turn.
