All is well

Life is weird, huh?  The ACL is less than 50% torn so no replacement. Meniscus barely torn so no repair. Surgery amounted to an orthoscopic diagnostic.

This after we held her hand while she cried and begged us to take her home after the first sedative.

We're torn between relief and fury and surprise. I'll let you know where we land after we get her home and in her own bed.

So only way to know this was to go in and have a look maybe. Up side is her recovery should be a bit better. Poor sweetie. Hugs to you all.

Don't know what to make of the diagnosis, but very glad to hear it is over and done now. Rest up, Sydney!

Glad to hear that it was not as bad when diagnosed. Sorry that you all had to experience the fear and worry. It's done and the healing can begin. Thanks for sharing.

Good to hear all is better than diagnosed, although having her to go through this all could have been avoided... Well, what's done is done and the healing should be a lot quicker now.
Take care of you and yours and have a good weekend.
Big Dutch hug for all of you.

I've had the same reaction to surgery, without the dads to comfort me-- I remember they put inderol into my IV to stop me from running to bathroom every two minutes.

Hopefully, Syd's sleeping now, but I wonder how long it takes to heal from a half tear? Rest than PT? Whatever happens, it sounds like it can't be nearly as bad as the original surgery.

I certainly hope this is a one and done type of thing! OH, I can and Do rather vividly imagine how this went, you see I know all too well with my own, this is not a pretty sight and the crying and wailing is enough to want to send you into orbit. I have done it guys...done it more than once....still doing it as a matter of fact....and at 26 years old no doubt.

I surely felt things were oddly quiet and calm for a teenage girl..but I thought maybe... just maybe....

Oh, hopefully she will be feeling better soon....good grief, we have stellar medical care here in this country do we not?? Just seems to me that is a lot to put her through, not to mention you two for nothing...well, at least half of nothing. Ugh!! I feel for ya!

Glad they think it will mend. Sorry she had to go through this stress. I would be totally peeved but guess they could only tell for sure by having a look. I'd have a lot of questions as to why.

Glad to hear Sydney is doing well .I remember when my oldest daughter was in the labor room ,they had this awful wall paper on the walls ,she was very persistent that she wanted me to take it off LOL I have done a lot of things for my kids but removing hospital wallpaper was asking a little to much LOL.
Your blocks are fabulous as always .
